I can see a RTE finding a spot for Aidan O Mahonny?

They're really gonna milk that brand, aren't they? The DWTS I mean.

Didn't see them doing this level of promotion with 'The Voice'.

AOM on Sat Night Show, DWTS Sun night and Claire Byrne Live Mon night, so plain to see that RTE are grooming him for a suitable slot, he comes across well in fairness to him

What was the point of the Aidan O' Mahony segment??
Nothing against the lad,but that was a surreal and utterly bizarre three or four minutes.Does he have a relative on Claire's production team?

Does the show have a production team?
It's more like someone writes the ideas for different segments on cards, throws them in the air and they do the ones that land face up.

When it started, it had a brilliant producer. According to the RTE, secret producer, that producer was neglected and treated like crap, so she left and went to be the producer on TV3 news.

Now it's a farce of a show-Jerry Springer has more credibility.

Like something out of Brass Eye tonight, lad on representing the meat industry saying non meat eaters more at risk of committing crimes.

I always feel like they cover way too many subjects on this show. Always feels a bit all over the shop. Onto the flu now which I think is the 5th different topic tonight with Fr Brain Darcy still to come.

He never actually said that though. He said bad nutrition was reponsible. Claire literally put words in his mouth then proceeded to say he did. Then allowed that to somehow be used as a comment on him.
Totally farcical. Chris Morris would be more professional.

Keith Walsh is not a dietician, he's not even close to it. Why not have a qualified professional to discuss Veganism? There were no medical professionals on the show to discuss it.

Yes it’s all over the place, bits & pieces of everything! And whoever is styling Claire should be shot!

Yes - Sometimes she gets it right but sometimes so wrong .
And the content style drives me mad ! It’s all over the place

Anyone see it last night? Ruth Coppinger doing her best to be unemployed after the next election.

This show has really gone downhill recently. It used to be a serious politics show with at least one Minister being grilled by CB every week which what I was tuning in for. Now it is just a bit of this, a bit of that and it is all over the place.

It's morphed into a version of the Late Late Show

Yeah it has a bit, it has a lot less current affairs and more lifestyle. In fact some of the topics CB is doing would be better left to Nationwide.

Appealing to the masses now just, lowest common denominator.

It was brilliant last night with Ruth Coppinger, she got roasted by every woman there. Seems she might have to rethink what women want.

Ruth Coppinger knows what everyone wants, even if you don't know it yet.:pac:

She is the archetypical feminist though isn't she? Dour, plain, a moaner, greasy hair and a face like a bag spuds. She is allowed to smile now and again you know.

That was an enjoyable watch :D

Ruth Coppinger not finding much support out there.

I find that too, and when each item is shorter, because they have four or five items on each show, there isn't time for a detailed discussion on each topic.

Guests don't a chance to properly say what they intend to say.

Coppinger is a bitter man hating oul battle axe all right.

The women doing the work she is so offended about said they knew what they were doing and are well paid but Coppinger doesn't like the "male dominated environment" they are working in.

She just ended up looking foolish on national television.

The early Pat Kenny years, where the research team were fired every year because the guests were a disaster.

Seems to be "daily mail" shock items on discussion.

    All that and more?

The show's only an hour long!

It's gone to f$$k lately. No amount of time given to any subject.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 19,683 ✭✭✭✭Muahahaha

Feels like a magazine show where the producers believe the audience has a poor attention span so need to introduce a new topic every few minutes. It is turning into the political broadcasting version of Xpose
