What I can’t understand is why he was allowed to be buried in the same grave as his poor wife and children?
If they were my daughter and grandchildren I’d have dug the him up and threw him in the nearest river.

His body has since been exhumed at the request of her mother and cremated.

It's a situation that none of us could really imagine being in. I'm sure they thought they were doing the right thing at the time.

Why did he have to kill them at all but especially why did he have to kill them so brutally. Jesus Christ I’ve never heard anything as bad. That was a tough watch.

They are so dignified in how they speak and talk so lovingly about Clodagh and her boys. Their strength is commendable. It must be horrific to live without the answers they crave so much but I doubt they will ever have enough to understand because nothing will help understand why he did what he did.

Absolute bastard, take his own life fine but to take wife & kids is just hard to comprehend.

I’m so glad there was no references to him being a “GAA man” and a “pillar of the community” rubbish that was all over the media at the time, as if that stood for anything. It was an unflattering and honest representation of the man he truly was. Controlling, abusive and narcissistic bully. I’m glad it didn’t even reference how he killed himself, because who actually gives a shlt about what he did to himself. He had the mental wherewithal to write a five page essay on why he did what he did, to try and gain sympathy but has left the family with more questions than answers. Controlling pig to the bitter end.

You know....things like those scam email saying 'I know what you been doing on internet and am going to send it to all your contacts if you done pay me €2500' might really affect certain people. It could have been something like that that flipped him!!!

Brave ladies..I think it's disgusting that the school have not revealed to the family what the issues were as it appears that was the thing that was the driving factor in him doing what he did..monster..

Weren’t the school employees all interviewed and the school computers taken away and nothing has ever come of it?? It would be interesting to hear actual facts rather than ‘we think’ and ‘we believe’.

That’s not true. The priest wouldn’t have had any say so about where anyone was buried. His family were grief stricken and were grieving the children and clodagh as well and they would have wanted them all buried together.
