Download Pokemon Shuffle for free and fill out the survey, worth another 50 stars. Didn't realise I had stars left over from Mario Galaxy that expired at the end of February. Drat! And I'm 500 stars short of A Link to The Past.
How do you do a survey for this? I need exactly 50 points!

Just download it and the survey should pop up under My Registered Games & Systems in your Club Nintendo account after a few of days.

I just read up on it and I never linked my eshop account to my wii u or 3ds! I've done it now but I don't know if it's going to work, I probably should of linked them before downloading games but I'll wait a few days and see does it work. If it does their is a few thousand points waiting for me:-)

Hadn't realised there were downloadable games on the Stars catalogue until I got an email from Nintendo yesterday. Went from having 250 points to 4000 after registering all my games (sadly had 5 Wii games with expired codes too).

Dunno whether to hold off for better stuff or just get NES Remix and Link to a Past now.

The only annoying thing is that it's taken them this long to offer it. It's great to get it, but hopefully it's not a final hurrah and is indicative of what it to come when Club Nintendo finishes.

TANK! TANK! TANK! and Zen Pinball gave me 50 points each, just 100 points short now.

got the survey up for the wii u anyway and claimed my 1000 stars but sadly nothing appeared for all the eshop purchases.
Funny how the brain works yesterday I would of been happy with an extra 50 stars to get one off the 1300 star games but now I have 2250 and I'm saying to myself I just need an extra few hundred for something else.

Ironfall invasion or Pokemon swappy-swap on 3DS?
Is the Google panorama / street view thing still free?
Edit : Is Animal Crossing Plaza still a thing?
    Wiifit trial?
    Pokemon Bank?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 27,833 ✭✭✭✭ThisRegard

Don't have a 3DS so presumably can't do that. I think Google Street view comes at a price these days.

Have 250 stars left which are good for nothing, shame you can't gift them. Oh and I had Wii music code I tried to use, which had never been scratched and it told me it had expired, never had that before. Reentered it a couple of times just to make sure.

yeah I dug out a load of old wii games and they are all expired. Also a few DS games I bought cheap in argos this year when buying something else were expired.

When is the last day we can reg club Nintendo points? Is it 31st March? End of April? It's soon anyway.

I know it all closes down in September so I'm holding onto my points till then as I'm pretty sure something really good will come up by then and all those games I have for free in one way or another or bought over the years.

April looks to be the end of the registration for digital products; September is the end of "Earning Stars" - which presumably is registering physical games? If you have stars to register, do it now and then you only need to worry about your post-april purchases :D
Looking at it, after september we're not going to have our entire purchase history since the Gamecube on display either :(

For those who are short a few stars, I can confirm the following free downloads will give you stars (50 each):

    Tank! Tank! Tank! (Wii U)
    Zen Pinball 2 (Wii U)
    Pokemon Shuffle (3DS)
    Ironfall Invasion (3DS)

I'm not sure if there is any other software/free-to-play games available currently that will do the same.

Thanks for the heads up on this guys. Registered my stars last night, and assuming I get 1000 for the WiiU I will have enough for Super Metroid and A Link to The past! :)

Nintendo Letter Box on 3DS is worth another 50.

They've discontinued the online sharing stuff I'm pretty sure but it's still there to download as of a few days ago.

They randomly finally made my survey for buying Metroid Prime Trilogy available today and now I have enough stars to buy A Link to the Past! Huzzah!

    Same here, cheers. :)

Just got all the unregistered Club Nintendo cards out of the boxes. About 30 altogether. 40 if the Wii games work.

Linked my Wii U to my Club Nintendo account but doesn't seem to have picked it up. Must check the box for a code.

Seems the only items I've linked recently were games that got me free games like MK7, Mario 3D Land and Mario Kart 8

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 29,828 ✭✭✭✭CastorTroy

All registered. 9150 stars. It didn't register the Wii U though for some reason.

i think it takes a while, wait a week or so and you'll probably get a survey for it.

Mario 3D World and Kirby Triple Deluxe soundtracks have been added for 3000 and 2000 stars, respectively

I have Super Pokemon Rumble and Zelda:Skyward Sword points if anyone wants to swap codes? Remember that tomorrow is the last day to register games to generate stars (as far as I know).
Edit: the codes have been given away now. :)

Do games bought with these stars count towards the Nintendo deluxe promtion which ends tomorrow? Need about 20 euros worth to get a 5 euro eshop voucher.

I've a code for Super Pokemon Rumble for whoever wants it too. Don't need a code in exchange but wouldn't mind one if you've got one to spare. :)

Cool, will send you a pm now. I think the Pokemon white/black codes expired in September last year, unless it's the white2 or black2 version? I'll send you the code for rumble anyway. :)

Ugh, either the registration site is getting swamped or they've closed registration over an hour early. :(

Registration of games/consoles isn't actually finishing for another 6 months! It's just stars won't be included with new games packaged after April 1st.

That happened to me when I was trying a series of expired and barely legible (due to over-zealous code scratching :( ) codes, the site just stopped doing anything when I inputted a new code. I imagine it's to protect against spamming to randomly guess codes. I foumd it normally works again after a few hours or the next day.

    DPP ended on December 31st
    You can't earn anything anymore.

You have until the April 1st to exchange the points you have already earned, for eshop credit.
And those credits expire on the 30th of June.

Or in my case, ripping the router out of the wall and giving it another shot. Presto, it worked! Annnnnnd now I see why people were complaining about the surveys. :pac:

All done anyway, 5500 points registered. Oddly enough, out of all the Wii games I had, only the two Zeldas still worked despite TP being out of date.

Now, if you'll excuse me I have to go bask in the glorious new game smell currently surrounding me.

Just made them my first purchases from club nintendo, thanks.

Can stars expire? It's says I've registered like 11000 stars but only 6500 were showing up before that purchase.

    Dang! I just ignored them.
Just looking at my record of registering stuff. A 3ds way back when it came out and a few games for it and the wii and then nothing until 2015.
Been scratching away for the last few hours :pac:

is there a code trade thread here yet?

might be a silly question but If I do the wii - wiiU data transfer then pay the small fee to download to the wii U do you get stars for doing so?

It might finally convince me to transfer my data, I was holding off because Bomberman 91 with 4 cube controllers and a wiimote still gets played, and is class :)

Thinking of blowing nearly all of my stars balance on the Zelda Mario Kart DLC.
Have 3550 in the bank and also realised Nintendo never sent me that Bowser mario kart figure I spent 2000 stars on about 8 years ago ha ha. Nostalgic looking through the old registered games, we got a PC and terrible dial up Christmas 2002, could finally see what the codes were about and got my eternal darkness bookmark :P good times

What small fee? There's none to transfer data.

The "upgrade" fee, for buying the Wii U version instead of the Wii version.

Just checked my Club Nintendo... 118 registered items... and I've currently got about 5/6 unscratched codes that I've to pop in yet!

    My earliest items:

no, I just got the nintendo deluxe credit for the five or six games I did this for last year.

12 pages of stuff, and my last/first was:
    Wii
    registered: 26/06/2007

I really regret the golf balls seeing all these games I could have gotten :(

If Super Mario World isn't on 3DS, I got a survey for upgrading it.
If it's on the 3DS, I must've bought it there and got the stars that way.
