Hi all,

I'm seeking opinions on the Sony α5000 which I have found a good deal on.

This would be my first camera and seems like a good place to start for a beginner as it offers good image quality, some manual control, and is also quite compact.

In terms of what I would be using the camera for it would be for relatively straightforward use e.g. holiday photos, photos of days out like hikes etc. I just want something that can capture good images on the fly. From my limited knowledge/talking to colleagues with more experience a mirrorless seems to fit the bill, and gives some room to grow if/when I become more capable.
