This guy did not get a custodial sentence, 208 previous convictions including 9 hit and run offences.... what a disgrace. Obviously they are waiting until he kills someone before they take action, there is no other Country in the world that would put up with this.

"Motorists were forced to avoid a man driving his Mercedes car the wrong way on the Limerick to Ennis motorway, a court has heard. At Ennis District Court yesterday, Patrick Cotter (54), Church Street, Bandon, Co Cork, pleaded guilty to six separate charges of dangerous driving in relation to a series of incidents along a 41km stretch of motorway from Cratloe to Crusheen on the morning of June 18th last. He was banned from driving at the time.
He received a 30-year driving ban in 2012 at Limerick Circuit Court. His 208 previous convictions include 19 offences for drink-driving and nine hit-and-run offences."

As far as I know the Judge in this case is the same one who threw the book at someone for parking in a disabled drivers space. Don't get me wrong he was right to do so in that case, but surely he should have put this guy away. The judge himself said this guy was a serious threat to the public!!! He is obviously sick but that will be cold comfort if he ends up killing someone. The law is an ASS!
