The safest place to live in Sigo?

I know there are a few threads on the best places to live in Sligo but most of them are a few years old. If any one can suggest a few safe, convenient areas to live in near Sligo town I would really appreciate it. Also what's it like to live there? Rough? Quiet? Nice? Thanks :)
