Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I know the original fines come in normal post, but what about the second one that is increased due to a late fee? Or do they all come in normal post?
(Disclaimer: I am not ignoring a fine, we're just discussing how much easier it would be for garda to prove people got their fines if they had to sign for them)

all come in the post as normal letters, registered post makes it too easy for people to refuse to sign and an post has to them return them

Hmm, I suppose that's another argument against it. I just know myself that I never get enough registered post to refuse it but then again I assume most people have a fair idea if they have been caught somewhere?

You don't get a second notice. You get the first letter, giving you at most 56 days to pay the fine. After that you get a court summons.

Oh right? I thought a second letter would come out when you are late. Again, wouldn't have a clue, never got done for speeding. Topic just came up with registered mail from work this morning that I almost missed :D
