What eyepiece should I get next?

So I've been using my 25mm plossl eyepiece for my XT6 dobsonian. I'm already thinking about making the move to another eyepiece but I'm not sure what size one I should get.

I know the lower the number the stronger it is (bad phrasing). Would I best to just jump straight to an 8mm eyepiece or smaller, or should I just go for a 18mm one?

I mean, what are the benefits of having an 18mm and a 25mm? They both sound like they have similar wide views to me.

My bet would be to go for a sub 10mm one, to get it on the planets.

Something like a Planetary 7mm, or the like.

Definitely worth it, especially now with Jupiter prominent in the night sky.
