Hey guys  - the version you've listed say it's not Freesat compatible. Is this some weirdness between the B/BBU SKUs? I really want the built-in Freesat so it's my main issue with purchasing here in Dublin or from the UK

    Hi Altheus.

The Sony 50W829 does have a satellite tuner on board in is just not freesat approved as not all the features for freesat will work , EPG etc...

I didn't think there was a 50W829 with an approved freesat tuner.

This is a snip-it taken from Techradar
"The KDL-50W829 offers a single Freeview HD tuner, but there's also a generic HD satellite input that will deliver the full Freesat channel bouquet, plus some other interesting content choices when plumbed into a spare Sky dish lead".

Ah ok - so the BBU and B versions are essentially the same? Does the version you stock support Saorview?

    Hi Altheus.

The 50W829 does indeed support Saorview.
As far as I can tell the BBU and B are the same. I have checked the spec and no difference.
