Well the showers are making it to the east coast anyway, Slightly sleety mix here in wexford an hour or so ago. Friend of mine said he had a brief snow shower at same time, he's a small bit further west than me.

The radiant heat you feel will fuel the showers ;)

Is there an expectation for showers to band into something more organised than currently? The showers at the moment look inconsequential to me on the radar, country wide.

All the real juice is being pumped into scotland

Looking at Sat24, there doesn't seem to be anything of note incoming either, just poorly formed small showers.

Graces7 I increasingly enjoy your posts which are always so delightfully descriptive - weather forum would be a poorer place without your posts mixed in with the maps and chit chat

    Aaaaaaaand it's raining.

It's going to be marginal now and again. Later this afternoon and evening more likely to be snow and overnight you will get some snow.

  • Registered Users Posts: 15,946 ✭✭✭✭Villain

Holy Batman temp dropped from 5.6c to 2.6c after as that shower cleared!

FYI for anyone that doesn't know my station updates www.CarlowWeather.com every 60 seconds.

3.2 Degrees in Westport. Showers of hail/snow rattling through here in a vicious wind. Not settling. With temp drop later and winds easing I expect more prolonged showers late afternoon in this evening and overnight.
