Basically a set top box with a record function onto a hard drive, and playback, and will display on screen what you have recorded. That doesn't have saorview, freesat, freeview, etc. One that connects directly to your TV, no internet connection needed, or connected to other devices.

Or one that does all the above, but also plays DVDs.

If no such thing exsists, did/does any on the DVD recorders display on screen what you have recorded and any ideas where might be bought, preferably in the NW and NI.
