My Ford Ka failed the NCT for an airbag light. Mechanic told me it needs a new Airbag Control Unit so I should buy one second hand online and he'll install it since they're E300 new + vat and you can get them on eBay for around E20/30. My Ford Ka failed the NCT for an airbag light. Mechanic told me it needs a new Airbag Control Unit so I should buy one second hand online and he'll install it since they're E300 new + vat and you can get them on eBay for around E20/30. There's codes on all the parts and the new code has to match the old one (I think). I've found one airbag on ebay that has exactly the same code except for one letter and number at the end.

The code on my unit: YS5T14B056AA 0285001388
The code I found: YS5T14B056CA 0285001398

Will this part work if I buy it or is that letter and number crucial?
