    where's Michael's father?

  • Registered Users Posts: 7,195 ✭✭✭jos28

im pretty sure an undertaker would do exactly that if the family requested it.

Yep they will, close friends of mine lost their 24 year old son. He was laid out at home in his bedroom. Damn hard funeral to get through. I think FC are actually tackling this one quite well. I know we spend a lot of time slagging Stripey and Gripey but they are both playing their roles very well.

Orla was able to go shopping, but couldn't find time go to Mumbles's wake. Wayne, still packing shelves somewhere, couldn't make it either, even though Mumbles worked for them both for a long time.
Of course, just because Mumbles shared a house with Mondo, Decco, Kerri-Anne and Charlotte, there's no reason why they would find it necessary to pay their respects.
And Jane, who shared a bed and a tee-shirt with him, is not prepared to attend either.
Pete and Dolly have better things to do, as do Neil and Dougie, Sean, Pierce, Damo, Charlie, SuperDoctor, and Father Whatshisface
But miserable Bela, who never shared a scene with him, put in an appearance, as did Miley Byrne's mother-in-law, who came all the way from 'Wickla'. Plus a couple of total randomers, who had to find their own way, silently, to the wake room.

It's only when you're dead that you find out who your real friends are..........

Dripey is a great character. hated him at first. Actor plays him brilliantly.

I feel sorry for him, he's clearly tormented with guilt (as anybody would be).

I'm not buying Damien and Caoimhe as a couple at all. There's absolutely zero chemistry between them.

So the Christmas episode is sorted then. Gripey revealing that he "killed" Mumbles. Deegan to overhear this when knocking around for some gravy, and just at the right place is Nina who happens to stumble upon it whilst asking for 5 minutes to pay her very late respects!

Well given the lesbian story lines of late and we know that Heather likes to keep it in the family, so there might be a real Christmas Day twist where Max finds Heather and Farrah in the bed together....

The O'Briens return home from Michael's funeral. Eoghan can't handle the guilt when Deegan announces they have a few leads on Cathal. Reaching breaking point, Eoghan admits to Rose and Debbie that he was the one who hit Michael and caused the injury to his head. Meanwhile, Farrah is furious with Heather for encouraging her to tell Max the truth. Later, Max goes for Wayne but Renee stops him. Max is further incensed when Wayne asks Farrah for an advance. Max tells Farrah to fire Wayne but she refuses, saying it's her shop and she'll do what she wants. Max goes to Heather, who tells him to lighten up and live a little.
Elsewhere, Louise is put out that Kerri-Ann has told people that Michael was her boyfriend. Kerri-Ann makes matters worse when she says to Louise that perhaps given more time together, Michael could have been the one.

    Next Week

Eoghan is troubled that he could be arrested, while Debbie is upset to learn that someone has paid for Michael's funeral. Eoghan believes it must have been Cathal and reports it to the Guards. Soon afterwards, Debbie is shocked when Cathal turns up on her doorstep. He accuses her of stealing his money from the hotel safe that night. He offers to let it go if Debbie changes her statement and says that he was actually protecting her from Flynn. Debbie is defiant and stands up to Cathal.
Later, Debbie learns from Eoghan that Tommy had cameras set up in the hotel and has footage of Michael being hurt. After their talk, Debbie realises that it must have been Tommy who stole the money and paid for the funeral. Meanwhile, Hughie tells Renee what Max told him about Christy's last words. Renee says she will tell Farrah, but is mad when Hughie goes ahead and tells her instead. Hughie tells Renee she is to blame for everything as she should have got rid of Max after Christy's death. Renee and Hughie exchange insults, adding further family animosity.
Elsewhere, Jackie has been offered a job back in Edinburgh but isn't sure she wants to move away. Doug disapproves, but Jackie explains that keeping busy helps her mental health and that is why she would need to take the job in Edinburgh and avoid being idle in Dublin. Doug is understanding and thinks she should go, but after further thought Jackie has a change of heart and decides to stay.

It will be interesting to see how Neasa reacts when she sees her sister shacked up with one of her former conquests..
