I counted eight hotel staff last night, only one of whom had the power of speech. The others simply scowled and nodded. And this is the hotel that Stripey managed all on her own, from housekeepin, waitressing, receptionist, messenger, even going down to the cellar to change fuses once.
And then Ray, for all his socialist, workers - first palaver, has no trouble peeling spuds and washing floors, without pay, because they're short of staff. They only had to bring back Stripey, she'd do the work of eight ppeople and still have time to eat and drink in all the local taverns. What a woman!

yeah, that Staff speaker always speaks for her mute colleagues!!

I didn't get much of a chance to talk to her but she seemed nice, she was in a bit of rush, i just said how I'm a fair city fan and really enjoyed her character.

This could go on for weeks. They are all going to take their turns confessing to Deegan - Debbie won't be able to live without Michael being dead and Eoghan being in prison, so thinking she hasn't much left to lose Sunday night she's going to confess to Deegan 'I killed Michael'.
Tuesday night Katie won't be able to cope with her Ma being in prison so she's going to confess to Deegan 'I killed Michael'. Tommy figures he doesn't have much more to lose and the O'Briens have lost a son and can't take much more, so on Wednesday night he's going to confess to Deegan 'I killed Michael'. And round and round and round it goes until the story just stops and we never get to know if anybody goes to prison for 'killing' Michael - Give me strength!

Delighted, fair play to Eoghan! (Ignoring the fact it was a TOTAL accident)

    Great actor!

  • Registered Users Posts: 49,731 ✭✭✭✭coolhull

If he hadn't soon stopped the snuffling and mumbling, I'd have killed him meself.

  • Registered Users Posts: 101 ✭✭Rose016

Deegan "Gripey what did you come here to tell me"
    Gripey" i killed mumbles"
Deegan " was it an accident?
Gripey" snot..sniff..blubber...yes i brushed off him accidently and he whacked his head the dopey mumbling fool...he was always getting clattered and was in a wheelchair at the time..i have evidence to prove it was accidental
Deegan" sound so ... no worries your innocent

Meanwhile... the writers high five eachother for another pointless flop of an ending without a cliff hanger or suspence.

Cathal to Stripey and Gripey: "Me hotel is bein' run by some bimbo who used ta be me gofer".
Ha, hope that lad stays around.

Poor oul Tommy. He's getting battered from all sides. Sure Eoghan asked him weeks ago to keep an eye on Debbie at the hotel and that's what he did. Now the last week Eoghan is shouting at him that he should have minded his own business.

By the way, does Hughie do anything else other than roll his sleeves up and down? He's constantly at it.

It just dawned on me about Michael being in the wheelchair. What happened in the hotel may not have caused his death at all. I can't recall why he was in the wheelchair but that injury may have lead to his death. Cathal is walking on the good/bad line and the script is not giving much away wrt what type of character he is.

The more I see of Heather this time around, the less I like her. She is very devious, bad minded and manipulative. I feel she is hiding something major too most likely a drug addiction.

Thats the thing... michaels wheelchair was never in the story...he just rolled up to work one day all busted up again...every week he arrived with black eyes or busted face ... suddenly michael the character gets written out !!!

Heather is absolutely bat **** crazy. Why can't I help being excited about the fallout from them discovering what Heathers written about them? On top of her cheating with Max, lying about Hughie drinking and sabotaging Ellie's trip with Farrah.

Oh wait, there won't be a fallout. Place to stay, job behind the bar and family hugs anyone?

Yes indeed.....interesting to see that Eoghan has the most integrity out of all the O'Briens and was not prepared to see an innocent man get into trouble under any circumstances.

Anybody in their right minds wou'd have gone down to the coroner's office with the laptop. End of story. . Jail my arse.

Then again, we're dealing with Tommy here.

I got in touch with someone from FC via twitter, (I'm not going to say who, to protect my identity here (I'm really a Red Rock cast member trying to defame FC!!) )

But seriously, the person, who really should know the thinking behind why they are stipulating Eoghan is criminally punishable for this f'in accident just played completely dumb. Merely saying they are happy for my feedback but they aren't notified of the reasons behind particular plots....... despite them being a part of the damn story!!

I will have to find the writer responsible. Like Nina and her illegal potato harvesting investigation or Deegan trying to solve the mystery of Nuss's handbag, I won't stop until I find someone responsible to explain this nonsense.

I recall tweeting Kane from Home and Away, who is a chief writer on the Fair City team, last March to PLEAD with him to stop this love triangle (square) with Caddle, Dullard Dan and Greasy (and Bronagh) and he didn't take kindly to me questioning the storyline. Then the actors who play Greasy and Dan got involved and, and I swear this is God's honest truth, asked me if I have ever been in the characters position and if not you wouldn't understand!!!!!

So they are a very prickly bunch these lot! Still they can't get away with this prison business......

No one goes to prison Michael is not dead it is all a bad dream.
Christmas morning Michael walks into Stripey and Eoghans bedroom with breakfast on a tray.
Stripey wakes and rubs her eyes sleepily " micheal how what are you doing here? You're dead!"
Micheal "Wha' Ma, mumble mumble you talking 'bout?"
Stripey " Micheal you're not dead? You're alive" while sitting up in bed clutching the covers to her chest
Micheal " of course I am mumble mumble what are you on about?"
Stripey " Oh God come here I need to hug you"
Happy Christmas hugs snot and tears all round
Eoghan stirring and waking slowly " What is all the commotion can't a man get some sleep in his own bed"

Another thing about Michaels murder/involuntary manslaughter , why would Deegan (fair city's own DPP) charge Tommy with it, when all Cathal had to do was deny it when questioned and the case was closed. Surely tommy could just deny it too!
