Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

It's hardly rocket science. Chop tomatoes, butter roll and place tomato on roll. You now have a thriving restaurant. And sometimes they don't even need the roll, just a plate for the chopped tomatoes.

Ehhh theres no way anyone could a restaurant on there own, there use too be loads of staff before ,waitresses/waiters,now theres none.

Dan is really running ahead of himself (pun intended) with him planning to buy a bungalow for himself, Carol and Jack to move into. Jesus!

Well there use too be loads of staff before ,waitresses/waiters,now theres none.

Yes, but Yvonne must have come to the realization that the tomato menu was the way to go. Less cleaning of cutlery and plates meant no need for other staff. Grab dishes and a quick rinse and all is done. As for taking orders, well, it's only two options, a plate of tomatoes or a tomato roll. No need for waitresses to take those easy orders. One person can do all.

And now that they have Dean, a professional chef, they can go all gourmet and open a packet of tayto's, so the people of Carrigstown can have a choice of tayto rolls or tomato rolls.:D:D

The Bistro used to thrive on the plate of lettuce dish, but realized that it was taking up far too much time cleaning. Every time the door would open a gust of wind would blow the lettuce everywhere, and Yvonne was hiring extra staff to clean up. She then went with the tomatoes. They tend to stay on the plate that bit better! It's a win win!

BTW, how long more can Bella sit like a spare tool in the Bistro? What a waste of energy and space!

Dean-o's got the job as chef in Vino's.

No you haven't Dean, you've got a job as chief tomato-slicer in Vino's. And chief roll-butterer. And all at a salary that's 5% higher than it was years ago. Happy days!

And they should kick Dan out of that hospital bed and give it to Bela. He'll catch his death of cold sitting in that chair. You'd have to be very bloody fond of tomatoes to go in there every day and see his miserable face.
And of course nobody bothers asking if Yvonne's still ''getting her head together'' in Galway.
I wouldn't bother watching this complete sh*ite if it wasn't for this thread. It's what keeps me sane.

Dean is not a "professional chef" .....he was never a qualified chef...... (Funny how you can remember things from years ago but forgot recent events)

Probably all those tomatoes running through his system. Draining experience for the once Lothario.

I meant "professional chef" as in, that is what he earned a living from.

Just caught up on the Tuesday and Wednesday's episodes.

I had some OH MY GOD moments - Dan seeing Carol and Robbie kiss, Dan sending Bronagh to spy on Carol - both made me think it was going to come to a head aaaaaaaaaaand nothing.

Disappointed with Bronagh though - not telling Dan doesn't really suit her character hopefully she will say something soon...

You could be onto something there for the Bistro. Canned tomatoes means less time having to search and select tomatoes, freeing up more time to actually serve tomatoes. Wait, don't they do chopped tomatoes in cans as well? Entrepreneur of the year awaits!

Wait, so what does that leave for Dean-o to do? Use the tin-opener? And at a salary that's 5% higher than years ago.
Nice work if you can get it :(

Well at least it'll keep him away from the bare knuckle fighting for a while. He wouldn't want to get hurt and need to go to hospital anyway, not with Bedblocker Dan taking up The Bed and Junior on a waiting list.

I understand that, I've seen 'professionals' and they haven't a clue, I've also seen unqualified 'professionals wipe the floor with the pros.

Don't forget about Bella. Even poor old Dolores has to have her cancer appointments on the street. The health system in Carrigstown is a sham. An at the time illegal immigrant nusssssssssss who got a job without being interviewed after claiming she was educated in Zambia............, a drug addicted doctor who spends his days walking from cafe to pub to house to fast food chipper diagnosing people and now a wierdo nurse who works 24/7 and has developed an obsession about her seemingly only patient and is intruding in his personal life and threatening the only people who come near him.......... And lets not forget a doctor who helped kill his brother in law and the last doctor, who drank every day and night and slept with every middle aged an she could and had zero patient confidentiality skills..........
