Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Leo would also be good cause he would actually go away on holiday as well cause I remember that time he surprised Paula with a Trip to Berlin and she couldn't go cause she had to be around on Thursday's to collect her dole so she would definitely get to go on a holiday with Leo.

So what you are saying is Leo has a few free hours Thursday............. interesting that.

    5. Stephen: A fine upstanding citizen of Carrigstown, Stephen is the only member of the town that hasn't been involved in any sort of drama/murder/illness/drug/paralysis/affair/bunnion plot. The closest he came to any sort of confrontation or trouble was refusing to serve the local drunk, Dr. Judith a third glass of red wine during her 15 minute coffee break. It was a defining moment for Stephen and showed viewers he isn't afraid to step up when he sees a problem. With Debbie having marital problems, Stephen would be able to recognise a damsel in distress a mile off. Stephen was born in the Mccoys ceg cellar in 1972 and knows every little nook and cranny in the building. He works alongside Debbie and is known to have a cheeky joke with her every now and again. Only last week Stephen made Stripey smile with this joke as she went about her daily chores in Mccoys jacks......................... "During the war, I lived in Vietnam............" Debbie replied "Oh so you were a soldier" to which Stephen explained he was a toilet cleaner there but he still gets FLUSH BACKS....!
A jovial man, Stephen always has a smile on his face when serving customers . he also has a good physique from lifting cegs and dragging drunk doctors like Judith and Jim to the door at closing time so this may appeal to Stripey who has to put up with the wirey Eoghan.

Negatives: Stephen has never ever exited the premises of MCcoys. He sleeps in the wine cellar and dines on King crisps and hot nuts. He isn't exactly a high roller, Stephen refuses to be paid by Louis gleeson, insisting his job is a vocation. These issues rule out any holiday prospects. An honest man, Stephen always ensures the customer gets the right change so it is difficult to know whether or not he could live with the guilt of an affair. he is also known to disappear for months on end underneath the floorboards of Mccoys where he hibernates.

Affair Chances: A very doubtful 4/10

    6. Wayne........... A man that loves excitement and a holiday, Wayne showed this when he went travelling with local tree hugger Maeve. He loves a risk also as is evident from his gambling of a million euro. He is a caring man though and has an eye for "any" woman, from Mad Lucy to Maeve the drip to jennifer aniston, I mean Orla.......
he also likes the older ladies as evidence from his previous employment as a pensioner escort. Working in close quarters to Stripey, Wayne could easily get his chance to seduce her in the cubicles whilst Orla is out pontificating about how great she is, shoplifting or continuing her own affair with The Ram Dillon. Or even visiting the doctor with Junior every time she even sees him sneeze. She will also not have to worry about Wayne impregnating her

Negatives: Wayne is a legend, but he is also a dope. Stripey clearly has had enough of Eoghan the dope. Wayne is also an extreme hypocrite who talks down to others like Pete even though he has brought psychos into the family house (Lucy), had affairs and stole a million euro. These traits are seen in Eoghan also who is a bit of a know it all who actually knows nothing. It is difficult to know Wayne's stance on affairs. He was a big fan of them a year or two ago when he carried out one for months yet when he even sees Pete talking to his ex wife or acknowledging her existence, he claims they are involved in some impassioned deceitful affair.

    Affair Chances: 7/10

that scene with Doug making the ham sandwhich being overlooked by Carrie Crowley was absurd!!!!

Here we had a 23/24 year old buttering a slice of bread vigurously with half a tub of butter for almost a minute..... ...cue Carries interjection..... with a pun and a half "give it here to me Doug, you are making a HAMS of it"!!! She proceeded to take the size of a tiny grain of sugar bit of butter and touching one piece of the other slice of bread with it..........

Are these the two worst bread butterers of all time......

So what you are saying is Leo has a few free hours Thursday............. interesting that.

No dont you remember that was the start of Paula telling Leo about how she was collecting her mothers pension even though her mother was dead so she's stopped collecting now, I think Leo is helping her out financially now cause I haven't seen her do a shift in the station yet. Ya but anyway Leo would be a good catch!!!!!!!!!

I dont know they might look into it later but when Paula stopped collected it, the money in the post office would have went back to the social and they would have stopped paying it from then on.

Once somebody doesn't collect their money they suspend you and then after awhile they would just close the claim.

Does it not build up for a few weeks? IE if you are on social welfare and you cant make your payment day or are away for a few weeks is it not there when you arrive back??

No, you lose it if you don't collect it. I think you can go on two weeks holidays but you need to let them know in advance. I'm open to correction though.

No they would suspend it if you dont collect it and then you would have to go into the social welfare office and explain to them why you didn't collect it and maybe have proof say if you went on holiday or something and then they would release the money back to the post office.
if you dont collect your money, it looks like you dont need the money.

You can take up to 4 weeks holidays during the year and 2 weeks are paid but you are supposed to tell them in advance, 10 days notice.

In a way Doug's terrible acting makes him more realistic. He is very believable as a bit of a half wit and his Northside lingo is spot on! I bet he is actually just playing a version of himself! Ad libbing even!

I met Doug once years ago in a pub off Dame Street. He was in his early FC days and obviously getting paid f all so was collecting glasses. I called him Doug and he was actually very friendly

A doctor with medicine in his hand???????????????? Explain that, Jim..............!

I bet you anything after the break, despite Jims more or less resigned to tell the truth face when Dr Posh said that to him that he will suddenly become over agressive and deny it all and Dr Posh will be convinced.

Leading to weeks of You are on morphine...
    No i amnt
    Yes you are
    No I amn't
    Yes you are
    OK, I am

Actually I dont think you are...........

In fairness I was in Milan and it isn't a great city at all. Very industrial and grey.
