Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Can't see past a Chelsea victory in this.

I just think Henry oozes cool. Chelsea could be hampered by midweek slog against Liverpool. 2-2

Id take a draw but fancy a Drogba hat trick.

He hasnt scored against them since 2007 hes due one at least.

Oh and I'm going to this game so cant wait for tomorrow. :)

Given the last two games i went to were 0-0 its highly unlikely itll be a 0-0.....i hope. :o

While I see Jose putting Drogba up front, I really hope he takes s punt on Remy. Reckon he'd cause a hape of trouble.

    Fairly flaccid affair expected. 1-1.

I expect that Chelsea will dominate possession but city will end up with better chances.

    Dour. /hopeimwrong

I have seen people calling it el plastico, el cashico but tbf City vs Chelsea has been entertaining game since they got rich owner. Even when City were not winning league they did well against Chelsea at Bridge.

1-0 Chelsea. Remy in the 89th minute.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,808 ✭✭✭Caveman1

Chelsea to win 2-0, although it's still early days I think if chelsea win that's the league done, can't see chelsea dropping an 8 point lead at this stage

    Nobody giving City a prayer.

Broadford scored 4, Liverpool scored none but probably would have with a striker in the class of Aguero

    2-1 City

Hopefully city win for the good of the league.

Yeah, I like both sides but I'd prefer to see Manchester City win to keep the league more interesting for neutrals.

I think it will be a draw though, which both sides will be happy with.

Would happily take a 1 nil chelsea win but i cant see city not scoring so 2-1 chelsea

Yaya might be too big a loss today. Forget the driving runs etc it is his playmaking ability that City have been sorely lacking, he controls the possession and tempo they play at and Fernando can't fill that gap.

Chelsea's bench is looking a little bare.

Also interesting that Sagna is starting for City ahead of Zab.

I think I misheard but I thought the woman on NBC said 615 million people would be watching this

Not really looking forward to this, if I'm being honest. Our defence has been iffy all season. Even without Costa, Chelsea still have Oscar, Hazard, Remy and Willian; they're no mugs. Yaya is a big absence for us, and I have grave doubts about Fernando. Through my most heavily tinted sky blue specs, we can maybe get a draw. MAYBE. Which wouldn't really be enough; we've got to try to close that gap. If it stays at 5 points or , God forbid, goes up to 8 I can't see Chelsea throwing that away in what will be 15 games.

True, that 45 minute preview could best be described as "tripe" mostly inane chatter. Neville and Carragher far more impressive with Ed Chamberlain.

Henry not bringing anything special to the buildup. More name dropping than anything.

    Aguero should have finished that.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,725 ✭✭✭✭blueser

    Aguero should have finished that.
Disappointing by his high standards. If he'd got that chance before his injury, he'd have buried it.

Poor defending by Clichy; outmuscled far too easily by Willian there.

Why didn't Kompany extend his legs. It looked like he was gonna slide with his legs out and then withdrew them.
