    Hi All,

I was trying to fix a dodgy mouse pad on my acer laptop, I searched all the issues relating to the pointer freezing for 10/20 seconds at a time.

It all just pointed to either a driver update which was not available or just to uninstall the driver and restart the laptop and let it install again. The mouse still works without this driver installed but is noticeably slower with no option to up the pointer speed

So I went to the Synaptics website to download the driver and install manually but then I found out that there was a problem with them not signing a certificate so the driver software keeps failing when trying to install the latest driver.

I am basically left now with no driver for the mouse installed on the laptop. Would anyone know how to fix this issue?

    Thanks,
    Gary
