Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Ep 29 this weekend.

What odds is paddy power giving on the color ?

    I’m guessing white or cream.

Whatever the mini was originally I'd say, keep it as stock as possible

Yeah, best not do anything that would ruin the originality of the car!

Can’t wait to see it finished, hopefully they take on other projects

Dont they already have some lined up? I remember seeing a prototype Rover and something else on a previous episode.

Plus they have that truck too, which isnt really as exciting yet..

I'm sure once the truck starts ramping up, there will be a few thousand brackets needing fabrication

I love a good suspension change.

I love a good suspension change.

You'd have to be nervous taking that car for its first set up test drive. Imagine losing control and wrapping it around a phone pole after 6 years of graft. The car is irreplaceable and too perfectly built for use.

Almost a shame to put that back on the car :D

When the video was over youtube suggested Harrys new video , nice bit of viewing pre top gear.

    Turbo Yoda's reaction. :D

They were playing with us they are going to use a turbo.

In their own words they call it a safety turbo.

Well there was no need for that multilayer metal head gasket if there was going to be no turbo !

I didn’t think they’d do the engine in house , I assumed it was nicely refinished painted and on a pallet going back months.

Amazing to see oil going into that engine. What an absolutely ridiculous build.

Turbo Tom did a tribute to them in one or two of his videos too. He has one of their mugs.

I love hearing random AvE terminology on other YouTubers videos too.

I don't think they'll be able to fit the itb's and airbox nessecary to get 200+hp they want. No mention of a change in compression ratio either. Theyre is something up their sleeve!

They deserve it though. It's one of the best things on YouTube by far.

I think it's time for them to quit the day job and make videos. They have the skill and know how to make it happen. If they were at this mini full time they would have moved on to more projects by now. I don't know how many years they are at it now by just working evenings and weekends.

I watch young guys in America at it full time but their skills are severely lacking compared to these two guys.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 73,478 ✭✭✭✭colm_mcm

I think it’s extra entertaining because there’s so little of it, and a lot of thinking obviously has gone into each stage. The escargot project isn’t nearly as much fun to watch.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,079 ✭✭✭✭Duke O Smiley

I think the escargot thing will be a lot more interesting when it progresses a bit more. Its a cool project but not much fun watching them take up old floor boards for 40 minutes

I've said it before in this thread but damn they really did think of everything. Some amount of work and thought goes into each part.

Incredible stuff really, at first I taught I'd never see the end of it but now I'm disappointed it's coming to an obvious conclusion.

Binky maybe coming to an end but they have a carbon fibre MG Xpower SV body as next long term project plus the rebuilding of a 205 rally car. BOM are unlikely to disappear any time soon.:D
