If I remember correctly, I think that it did only come out about what Harry did to Kat when Zoe found out Kat was her mother... but last night with Mo saying that 'Viv said she didn't want him turning out like his father. I didn't know what she meant then, but I do now' or something to that effect, it looks like Viv had known at the time.

Yeah Viv definitely knew. Kat has spoken before about telling her mother and she didn't believe her.

Thanks. Viv not believing her definitely rung a bell, but can't remember much beyond that as it's so far back.

I'm a bit confused about the whole Slater family tree.

Is Harry not the father of Kat, Jean, etc? If so why is he referred to as "uncle Harry" by Stacey? Is he not her grandfather??

And then there's "Mo" who seems to be an auntie of Kat / Jean etc but who's referred to as "nan" - ie their grandmother!!

Its no wonder the whole family is messed up!

Jean is a slater only through marriage.
Charlie is Stacey's uncle.
Kat is Stacey's sister.

Charlie is Kat's dad, not Harry. Harry was his brother and he raped Kat, fathering Zoe and the "missing son".

Jean was married to Charlie's other brother (I think). Stacey and Kat are cousins.

Mo is Charlie's mother in law as far as I remember, so she's Kat's grandmother. I could never understand why Stacey calls her "Nan" coz from my understanding, they're not related..

I always confuse Harry & Charlie.

Yes, Mo is Viv's mother so Charlie's mother in law.

And Brian (Stacey's father) Charlie's nephew, so Charlie Stacey's great-uncle.

I was convinced Stacey and Kat were sisters, I'm pretty sure they refer to each other as sisters in the show to make matters more confusing. They arent even 1st cousins.....:pac:

Not really a fan of the Slaters anyway, the likes of Kat has run her course many years ago. Stacey is interesting if she didnt seem to have constant affairs. Would rather have seen Zoe come back than Kat.

Kat's sisters are Belinda, Lynn and Maureen (Little Mo). They have all appeared in the show at various times.

Nah. ..it'll be a new actor - a slouching, brooding and rebellious young man with a whole tub of Brylcreem in his fashionable sticky up hair and sporting a barely concealed self destructive streak.

I'd like if they went the opposite route, he's a well brought up, refined gent, thus creating the strong contrast with his trashy biological mother.

If anything, all I want is for them to create a more realistic impression of Ireland than they did last time around :rolleyes:

I was convinced that Kat and Jean were sisters but turns out Jean is not even a Slater but married to "Brian" who was what? Kats cousin? So all those years of them preaching on to Jean and putting up with her "issues" and she's not even remotely related to any of them!

I'd have gone mad too.

I'd have gone mad too.

Sometimes people just care about and loce people regardless of being related to them and it's often nothing to do with 'putting up with' people's issues. I know I consider myself lucky by having such good friends who care a lot about me despite being mentally unwell.

Although in Jean's case she is remotely related to them, by being related through marriage.

And yes Brian was Kat's cousin.
