Theory test category question

    Im trying to book a theory test for category A2 but the website will only let me book category AM can you apply for a learner permit for A2 having passed an AM theory test. Im totally lost now.

    Yup. Same thing. AM effectively means A&M (Bikes and Mopeds) same as the car DTT is BW meaning B&W (Cars and Work vehicles- tractors) as they go hand in hand.

    @OP if you're between 18 and 24, you need the A2 LP and if you're 16/ 17 you need A1 category. Don't forget that if you're over 24, there's no reason why you shouldn't apply for a category A Learners Permit.
