Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

1-0 to The Gunners, Giroud with the finish from a classy Özil flick on.

Yep, it will be over as a contest fairly soon if that keeps up.

    Even madder playing Tom Cleverley.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,553 ✭✭✭Spanish Johnny

Beautiful goal....fantastic from Ozil and Giroud recovered himself brilliantly. Would like to see another one soon.

No repeat of last year...Taylor reffin...early Giroud goal...fall asleep and get suckered.

    This commentary is boring

As I've said many times before, spray it out to Ozil/Sanchez/Walcott so they can set up the striker, simples. :P

Villa starting to see a bit more ball in the final third, still look ropey as f*ck at the back.

    Coquelin impressing again

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,553 ✭✭✭Spanish Johnny

Long term consistency reservations and passing aside....I love watching Coquelin in this Arsenal side. He almost looks like the mythical ideal DM we crave.

Looked onside, refs are killing my fantasy football lately...

    Bad decision from the linesman

He looked off to me, was close but thought he was off.

Same, thought he was just off.

Benteke doesn't look up for it

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,553 ✭✭✭Spanish Johnny

    Yip...thought he was off.

Was expecting a burst of pace from Theo there rather than him slowing the ball down, wasted break.

  • Registered Users Posts: 6,333 ✭✭✭bad2dabone

Ozils passing is just the balls

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 13,222 ✭✭✭✭Will I Amnt

Weimann should really have done better with the header, got his timing all wrong.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,435 ✭✭✭wandatowell

    Christ Theo is rusty.

He has been poor enough today I think.

Can still see him getting a goal though

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,553 ✭✭✭Spanish Johnny

Good save Ospina and from the other angle Bellerin got good pressure on Weimann in that situation.

Would have been a beautiful counter if we finished it off the other end.

Walcott and Ramsey have been poor.
Ozil,Cazorla and Monreal have been great.

Can we change Walcott for Rosicky?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 838 ✭✭✭rebelomar

I don't get the thinking behind the high line from Villa...we don't really do it ever and we try it away to Arsenal.

A team with Ozil's ability to thread a pass and Walcott's pace. Baffling

Never offside for the first goal.

Needs the game time though surely? How else does the rustiness go...frustrating I know but it takes time and confidence. We really should have 1 more.

Arsene saving Rosicky for next weekend against his favourite team to score against. ...goin for 3 in a row!

Benteke has been atrocious. Doesn't look up for it at all.

What a finish!!!! Delighted for him.

Super Giroud and good boy Theo....needed that burst and pass!!

  • Registered Users Posts: 6,333 ✭✭✭bad2dabone

That's two goals in two starts for ozil. And two assists too I think.

    Stepping up.

    Nothing wrong with that tackle.

    Nothing wrong with that tackle.

Apart from him missing the ball and taking the player.

    Really?

Got the ball, Walcott's momentum flipped him over.

Only for the sliding right foot it would have been fine, a foul alright just about.

    He didn't miss the ball.

    He didn't miss the ball.

Getting the ball doesn't stop it being a foul

I never said it did. Someone else said he missed the ball which is a complete and utter lie that I was correcting.
