Seatbelt warning light/buzzer does not come on when I unbuckle

    Hi,

    1. Get in and buckle up.
    2. Start engine - all warning lights (incl seat belt light) come on and go off.
    3. Unbuckle seat belt - no seat belt warning light or buzzer.

    NCT Fail?
Hint: NCT manual does not specifically refer to seatbelt warning light...

    Any ideas or personal experiences?

    Thanks,

I'd say it's designed that way. So long as it comes on when you sit in, that seems fine to me

You sure the car has that feature and has it enabled?

Think you might be right... Manual says this on the subject...
"When you start the engine the seat belt warning light illuminates and then goes off to remind you to put on your seat belt" (or words to that effect).

And that's all, nothing about warning light coming on if you take off seat belt etc, etc....

Great! - sounds like my car treats me as an adult...

    Thanks

If you get in, start it and don't buckle up what happens?

You normally need to be moving for the buzzer and light to come on. It won't come on when you are stationary. That would just be a pain.

Yes, that's what happens on mine. The light always illuminates, but the buzzer seems to be triggered by going over a certain speed. Go very slowly and it won't buzz at you.
