Lidl Ski gear sale

I was in Lidl this morning and they have a sale on ski gear, trousers €15, jackets €20, helmets €18 and a lot of base layers and gloves etc.

Shame the gear is neither ware proof or breathable and completely rubbish

To be fair, if it's one of your early trips and you're going to be staying on sunny pistes in ski school or whatever, Lidl will get you through the week- esp for the undergarments, accessories etc. You know you're getting the waterproofing & insulation that you pay for, so no surprises if it doesn't protect you from hypothermia. Mountain Warehouse is a similar price range too (and much better quality IMO), have a look there too :-)
