Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I'm having a good condescending laugh at the 'it was a peno' people. Judging you all...negatively.

    Dive for me as well.

Still skrtel could have avoided all this by not sticking the leg out.

Ref has been remarkably one-sided or well...just poor.

Idiotic tackle to make when you've already been booked.

    Spot on.

Diving when there's no contact though, that's a foul.

He's not able for cold night in Bolton.

Red card means more space for Borini to run into. He's really good at that!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,150 ✭✭✭✭LuckyGent88

What a brain dead decision. Most footballers are just headless chickens.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 36,406 ✭✭✭✭LuckyLloyd

Sound. Relax...we've got this. Get passing, take our time, build the pressure, break them.

Doesn't matter whether he touched him. Doesn't even matter if he kicked him. Did he force him to lose his feet? The answer is nearly always no. Therefore, dive.

    his tackle was late

Diving has nothing to do with contact or whether you have been fouled. You can be poleaxed out of it and still dive like Tom Daley. Going down when you can stay on your feet is simulation.

And? Is you point that it could have been a penalty? It could have been, absolutely. But that isn't relevant to the silly little dive.

    late tackle = dangerous play

    Here comes Sturridge.

On for Sterling perhaps? It'd be very unbalanced otherwise really although I don't want him off.

Very soft penalty. I'm watching on a poxy stream here so can't tell if there was any contact (even if it was minimal). I'm not complaining though! Danns is an incredibly stupid at times

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,211 ✭✭✭Happy Monday

Why is Sturridge not playing people? Why?:eek:

can you prove they could have stayed on their feet?

Huge gamble bringing Studge on. If we only score once, he's facing 50 minutes.

It's a fcuking dive, if that's Sterling going down he's getting slated by everyone right now. "Magic of the fa cup" my arse

Gerrard back to midfield then I guess?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,791 ✭✭✭✭Charlie19

Sterling could've done a hazard there and assaulted a ball boy.

    Why is it a gamble?

If he' not fully fit then he wouldn't be on the bench. His only issue is match fitness.

    Yes. It's called physics.

But it's also called common sense. You can tell when a player has gone down when they didn't need to. Unless ofcourse you choose to be difficult and not see it but that's a choice.

Do we need to apply mathematical concepts to prove this or are you lloking for more Sherlock Holmes type proof?

There was zero contact, the player went down expecting there to be contact. It was not a foul or a penalty. If you are blind or being deliberately obtuse that is your issue.
