finding friends in Carlow

    I am married mother of one, finding it difficult making friends here in Carlow..Any suggestions appreciated.:)

    How old is your child. Have you checked out mother and toddler groups if young enough?.

    Have you any hobbies or into activities?
    I seen in today's paper aspiro, the choir, are looking for adult members?
    If your into running, the local running club St.Laurence o'tooles have fit4life & run every night of the week?
    Would you consider volunteering, there are lots of places looking for volunteers & that maybe a way to meet people too.
    There are lots of local sports clubs if you are into that football, tennis, badminton etc

    Volunteer Centre in the county council offices are very helpful if that's something you'd consider.

    Check around the parish/community centres for groups meeting or St. Catherine's near the train station might be able to advise you.

    Myself and my wife moved here in July and never really socialised! Should we have a few boardsie pints? All the CW heads meet up in the pub and socialise??
