Has anyone done this 10 mile race before? No sign of race route but it sounds like it might be a nice course.

Public transport to this part of the world seems dreadful but I would love to sign up for it regardless.

Its one of the most beautiful places on earth( in the good weather).
The route is hilly but totally rural. You overlook some fantastic bays before descending onto the beach for the final1.5 miles.
I spent 2.5 hours on the course, I imagine if your racing it you may overlook some of its beauty. It normally gets great weather but usually quite windy.
There's a limited bus service from Derry and letterkenny.

Would you say trail runners are required?

    No.
Rural country roads, tarmac all the way then sand. Or if you take as long as I did then stones( cause the tide came in).
There's a mini bus that takes you from the beach finish back to the start hotel, 2min.,where there is a hot buffet laid out and the Guinness is flowing.

I've just talked myself into registering and I'm off to buy some Guinness( for training purposes).:D
