Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Anyone know where one would find acorns in Dublin?

at the risk of soundng facetious, on oak trees. but you've picked a bad time of year if you want to harvest them yourself; and buying seed commercially is probably a non-runner - you may be able to pop into coillte nurseries and be cheeky and ask for a handful for free, but it's probably not worth a trip down to carlow unless you already live nearby.

long story short - if you want oaks, you may be just best buying them bare root.

Thanks, i appreciate the response. Not an ideal time of year to be looking for them it seems. Worth trying a florist perhaps?

i don't think florists would carry them as stock - it's not something i think they'd sell in any amount. what do you need them for? to let kids plant some?
