English Poetry Fail

    I just discovered that Eiléan Ní Chuilleanáin's name is actually Elaine...not Eileen, which we have all being saying all year.
    Did anybody else make that mistake or are we just useless??

    The fada on the e indicates that it is pronounced Elaine :)

    Yeah, I got that when I actually read it; but I heard of her as 'Eileen' before I read it written down, if you get me? So I just skimmed over it!

    Well to be fair at first glance you would think it's Eileen and people not familiar with the Irish language would just say Eileen so...
    I know you're not the only one
