one guide and upc horizon

I have the upc horizon box connected to my Xbox one and can't seem to use the one guide correctly can view the guide but when I select a channel nothing happens

have you gone through the setup to ensure that the xbox can control your horizon box? Its a separate process to setting up the tv.
