Coming out of contract

Quick one folks - when you come out of contract and if transferring to another provider, there will obviously be an outstanding amount which will need to be paid - so in such cases does Eircom provide a settlement bill or something along those lines?  The account has no arrears or anything like that so it would be only whatever current usage is.

Then from the Eircom perspective, if/when another provider takes on the business - is there any other impediments or delays as to when another provider can take over the account and provide their service to the customer?

Thanks a million folks, Much appreciated.

    Hi AnCatDubh

A final closing bill is prepared to the date of when the other provider takes over service, this is usually posted within 10 to 15 days of the last day of eircom usage.

In relation to your second question there is nothing that can stop another provider taking your service except in the case that they don't have the correct details to hand to do so.

    Thanks
    Al
