Pretty awful game that, ibe the only real positive for us.

Poor game, neither team deserved anything. They should both come away with no points.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 28,397 ✭✭✭✭Turtyturd

Points dropped, was always going to be tough after losing the best player in the league but should still have enough to beat the likes of Everton.

  • Registered Users Posts: 8,984 ✭✭✭Soups123

Both teams seemed to play for the point so job done for each.

Gerrard will find it hard to remember his last Derby considering he was asleep for most of it

2 points dropped for Liverpool. Everton were there for the taking.

Everton are so poor! They really are. What is Martinez doing there

  • Registered Users Posts: 630 ✭✭✭hadoken13

Taking off our best player was a disgrace. Coutinho would've made the difference. Gerrard did nothing all game.

I've failed to see what Lambert has offered us thus far, at this point in the season

He offers the commentators a chance to mention he's from Liverpool, is a pool supporter, has a liver bird tattoo.
As well as phrases like "dream come true" etc.

Apart from that he has offered little. I also think Rodgers is buying into it, bringing him on in the big games, as if the lad is going to score the winner...

He is a winger, it's not at the top of the list of attributes I'm looking for really

Hard to beat such a negative team who were preoccupied with not losing.

That's their prerogative though, and we failed to break them down.

    0-0 was just about fair.

Very poor game. As bad a derby as I've seen. We should have brought Barkley on earlier. Liverpool with more attempts but don't think Robles made any great saves. Draw a fair result

Your bring harsh on the Pool there they weren't overly negative just very one paced and happy with the point

Coutinho and Sterling off and Gerrard stays on the pitch despite offering nothing all game?

Maybe Coutinho was injured which is fair enough but taking off Sterling over Gerrard was very weak management from Rodgers.

Liverpool will be a better team when Gerrard leaves and Rodgers doesn't have to pander to him anymore.

If you are afraid the full back will get there first then you are always going to pull back when chasing or dribbling. Im not talking about tackling here.

    I thought Mccarthy played well.

I thought cout came off cos he was injured.

I hardly thought Lambert was on long enough to criticise. His shot on target was a welcome one, shame it wasnt hit harder.

Can and Sakho and Moreno were criminal at times.

Ye he was being targeted alright. Felt Rodgers was never gonna take Gerrard off, due to the occasion, even though he was ****.

FFS it was his first bit of action in 6 weeks and almost his only action in nearly 3 months!

So is the whole city a smouldering ruin with drunken mobs roaming around raping and pillaging? Or did the whole thing pass of the same as a 12 o'clock kick off?

Neither team were good. Everton barely tried to win the game, but Liverpool didn't do near enough to win either unfortunately.

We still can't break down teams who park the bus and don't make any real errors. It's very frustrating.

    The 2nd half was terrible.

Not a happy camper Everton will be delighted with the draw.

Everton weren't walloping us, but whatever.

If you want to believe Everton deserved it for that performance, then excellent. Nobody further up the league has anything to worry about if that's what Everton describe walloping as.

Liverpool were quite comfortable in defence bar the Coleman shot.

Then you really don't know your football

Its not a coincidence that Everton's seasons falling asunder.....both this this one and the last one late on....coincided with McCarthy getting injured!

Not at all. After listening to his waffle for 18 months I'm positive that he's full of it. He benefited last season from the defensive foundations set down by moyes but once he had enough time to implement his own system things went to pot. I think it's 11 or 12 wins in almost 40 games. That's relegation form.

I will say this though, our defensive performances have improved over the last couple of games so maybe he's copping on a bit.

Two yard passes is about all of what Roy Keane ever did passing wise

If you won't take my word for it, take the word of the Arsenal, Man Utd, Tottenham and Inter Milan scouts. Fantastic reading of the game, assured in possession and technically very un-British/Irish

That's bound to happen when you're starting with 3 holding midfielders in front of a back 4 and then actually replace one of those holding midfielders with a 3rd centre back for the last 5 minutes....at home.....against the team in 7th
