    Hi

I didn't want to hijack this thread http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=2057348584

Cold anyone give me a recipe please?

I've never made these before, wondering do they need much practice as thinking of making for a special dinner. I bake bread, and some deserts but never tried choux pastry.

On the other thread, posters mention beating the mix, should you use electric mixer or by hand.

Thanks in advance for any replies.

Hey ellejay, I make choux regularly enough, was shown it first by my granny as a child, so no idea is much practice required. I reckon if I could manage it as a ten year old, anyone can do it! Youtube it maybe to see what it is supposed to look like at the various stages. Delia's website is good too.

I never bothered with the 'shoot' of flour in from a paper sheet (too messy, cloud of flour everywhere, just tipped it in from a bowl.

I beat it with a wooden spoon myself.

I made it in cookery class in prmary school, but not since. It worked then, maybe I should be brave now and try it.

First step would seem to be to dismiss your servant. I remember seeing this years ago, and mentally filed it away in case i ever needed to make choux!
