    Hi there,

My husband & I are trying to conceive for quite a while without success. Last year I suffered a miscarriage which was heart-breaking. Since then we've still had no joy.
We're about to start fertility treatment. I know stress is a huge factor, so I'd like to book myself in for a few massages & the like to chill me out! Just wondering if anyone has any experience of acupuncture? Would you recommend it? How often would I need to go?
Any advice/experience would be greatly appreciated x

I have gone to Accupuncture and found to extremely helpful . My husband and I are TTC also but I had an irregular cycle last year. I heard about specialised fertility Acupuncture and it has gotten me on track with my cycle. The acupuncture relaxes me and ensures I get back on track - ie not stressed. I firmly believe she has helped with my cycle and will be assisting us in TTC.

My friend had similar issues and she also visited a fertility acupuncturist (same one as me) and she has has her second child.
    Overall I'd definitely recommend it.

Thanks kelly08. I'm glad to hear you feel it's helping you.
I'm based in Dublin. Is your acupuncturist here by any chance?

Hi Chavro, myself and my husband were ttc for 6 months when I started acupuncture to help.
It regulated my cycle and other stuff and I also found it very relaxing and calming. I fell pregnant about 5 months after starting it and my little 21 week old girl is now having her nap upstairs as I write this.
I went weekly at first and then fortnightly and then once per month. I was healthy and had a good diet, wasn't overweight and drank very little alcohol so there were no other changes I has to make to my lifestyle. I did get my bloods done and my husband had an SA done too in December and then I got pregnant in January 2014. We did this just to see what the outlook was.
I'm based in Dublin and would recommend my acupuncturist in a heartbeat. Send me a PM if you'd like the clinic name.
