Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I despise praising Man U, but by God they did well getting the fee they did for Danny Welbeck

    He's alright wasn't that expensive

Not happy seeing Walcott come on.

Getting rid of Welbeck was good business

His end product is good enough for a team near the bottom of the league, not one challenging for Europe

I thought it was a fair fee to be honest.

The fact they paid a fee is funny in itself.

I don't rate Welbeck highly. My posting history speaks to that. His technique isn't great and he's not a good finisher but he does have his good attributes. He's homegrown, very physically strong and quick and does his work defensively. Arsenal didn't pay over the odds. You have to fill your squad and when fit he isn't starting ahead of Sanchez, Walcott or Giroud.

Just because Andy Carroll was overpriced doesn't mean Welbeck wasn't

Is that a Pool fan commenting that we paid the same fee for Welbeck as they paid for Super Mario. I know who got the better deal there.

I think some people still think it's the 90's. You don't get world class for 16 million anymore. You get "decent".

    Atkinson is useless

35 million and it was joke of a transfer fee. I don't deny it.

He's really good. Goals are one thing, but his overall play is superb. You can tell just by looking at him play that even when he has an inevitable bad spell, he'll still be helping the team win.

For me, Danny Welbeck was never good enough for Man U. He was just a below average player who got more game time than he should have because he was home grown. He's a Johnny Evans. He should be at the likes of West Brom.

But bizarrely, Arsenal paid good money for him. Arsenal are too good for him as well btw.

It doesn't happen often. They were due one. And to be fair, they've been the better team.

Can't argue with the Spurs win. Just too many Arsenal players not performing today.

Fair play to spurs. A deserved victory

    Thoroughly deserved by Spurs.
    Arsenal were piss poor.
    Wrong attitude from the start.

I was surprised at how defensive Arsenal setup, and it allowed us to control the game for long periods of time. Absolutely delighted with the result (obviously), and hopefully we can do the same against Liverpool.

Feel so flat after that result
