Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Manu should be beating this shower of bubbles most days of the week.

    United to edge 2-1 victory!

United win here. Hammers have been poor lately. Will Still be a close game 3-2

Just seen West Ham Terminate Ravel Morrison contract, must be something serious.

It's Ravel Morrison so nothing unusual for him.

Hope to Jesus that Nolan doesn't start. We've played best this season with Sakho and Valencia up front and should have gotten a point at OT so hopefully we can rectify that today.

We haven't been great, but still have lost only once this year.

I really hope Evans doesn't play. Always struggles against physical forwards.

  • Would love to see 4 at the back and Rooney & Di Maria playing in there natural positions. But that's just wishful thinking going on some of LVG's decisions this season.

I'm with Tyson though, still think we can grind the 2-1 win. Win is crucial considering results from yesterday.

    FS Rooney Mid...
    Valencia oh christ
Unless we are playing a 4-4-2 Januzaj playing is a waist of time, defensively poor and if he's going with wing back BS then it just will not work

Don't see how you could think Januzaj is playing wing back with Shaw and Valencia both starting, but I agree it's yet another frustrating line up from him.

Herrara and Mata in for Januzaj and RVP for me and go
    Blind
    Herrara
    Di Maria
    Mata
    ---Rooney----Falcao----

Fellaini probably should be playing too to combat their physicality.

Valencia and Januzaj are weak links today. They must be bloody incredible in training because neither of them have shown enough over the last few months to warrant starting. Rooney probably in midfield again will most likely be a problem for us but if he scores all will be forgiven of course.

On the plus a bit of consistency as its the same team as the last pl game? If we play well we will win easy.

I feared he was going to revert to the 3 CB's for today's game, a bit more confident now. Should be winning this.

4 at the back is a positive alright but we are very light in midfield. Then again, all we need the midfield to do is get the ball out to shin-bone Tony as quick as possible and let him work his magic.

I dream of the day that is our midfield/forward linup

  • Rojo to score anytime is 14/1..worth a squid

It took ages for him to realise that 3-5-2 wasnt working....how long will it take for LVG to figure out that Rooney isnt a midfielder?

When he actually decides to give him a prolonged run as a striker which IMO is never going to happen

Disappointed with our line up and pretty worried actually.
West hams strength is the full backs going forward and don't want Rooney to be tracking back all week.
Really big game for us and 3 points are a must imo.
    Fancy a nervy 2-1 win

hopefully Man Utd can burst a few bubbles here today..cmon

The inconcistency is hilarious. Rafael was booked 6 mins into a match for less than that a month ago.

song is very off tempo in this match !!

  • Good start to the game, we are pressing west ham

Clattenburg is getting in the way.

Cynical tackle is cynical plain and simple. Ridiculous decision
Ref is thinking no card only because it was at the start of the match IMO

  • De gea class

Midfield is weak, not getting to the second balls

Can't get out of our half. No control of the game at all.

Januzaj looks way out of his depth here. Herrera must feel so hard done by.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,308 ✭✭✭Pyjamarama

A team that cost this much to assemble should be able to exert some kind of control on the game against a limited hammers side... not good enough so far but plenty of time for utd to up their game.

ah dont start we havent got the bloody ball yet even

It's great to see an entire team panic every time they get the ball.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,902 ✭✭✭MagicIRL

Adding some elbows to midfield could help.

That doesn't stop him from working hard to get it back. At least Herrera is not afraid to put in a tackle.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 4,751 ✭✭✭newballsplease

Why was that a free against Rooney?? Not allowed jump for a header?

  • No attacking threat, front two completely isolated
Rooney and di maria runnng around for nothing
No width whatsoever to the team, Valencia cutting inside is pointless

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,188 ✭✭✭Montroseee

    Fellaini should definitely be playing.

Sad to see an Allardyce managed team play so much better football then united. , have barely touched the ball

Wayne Rooney is not a midfielder and I don't need to have managed Bayern or Barca to see it.

  • That's better from shaw

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 19,372 ✭✭✭✭Liam O

Everything Januzaj does stinks of incompetence.

Di Maria is everywhere atm though.

  • Registered Users Posts: 33,754 ✭✭✭✭RobertKK

Di Maria running with the ball from midfield is a thing of beauty.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,015 ✭✭✭Ludo

We really need to score here soon. We have been well on top for ages now and need something to show for it.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,345 ✭✭✭keeponhurling

Does Antonio Valencia have magnet somewhere, he sees so much of the ball
