Managing rechargeable batteries - Eneloops charged or not?

I have a load of Eneloop batteries and I'm a bit new to rechargeable batteries in general. Possible silly question: is there some clever way to keep track which ones are empty and which ones are full?

I suppose I really should just have a container for to put the ones that need to be charged into. However I got a load of those small blue little cases with Eneloop on them and embarrassingly I keep getting the empty and full one mixed up! :o

This is one of those threads that I just feel I won't get any replies to but I'm hoping for an elegant solution to this.....thanks! :)
