Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hi all

Was thinking of a getting a roller, was looking at the following:
    http://www.wiggle.co.uk/tacx-antares-professional-training-rollers/

Is this decent value or is it worth forking out for one of the more expensive ones

    Thanks

I'm selling a set of top quality rollers here: http://touch.boards.ie/thread/post/93852909

Currently borrowing a set of Tacx Antares, they're brilliant. A lot of people on track use them too and don't seem to have any problems. I think they're the most popular type actually. They do the exact same thing more expensive ones do, but they don't move with you, so you'll get super smooth revving out on the Antares instead ;)

A more expensive one will have variable resistance if that matters to you

I actually have ones that can take a resistance unit but never needed one. You can't really do any power intervals or sprints on rollers. Best for doing 10 20mins intervals etc and for those, I at least, didn't need anything other than gears

I have a set of Tacx ones and find them good. Mine are the Galaxia, which move forward and back with you. There was a bit of a learning curve starting out, but once you get the hang of them it's easy enough. I've no resistance on mine, but I use them to help my stability and low HR spins that I just can't seem to do out on the road
