Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

You'd know the rally is on.

Kept awake by knobs tearing up and down the road/ dual carriageway last night

    Sad bast*rds

The gardai turn a blind eye to it every year. A disgrace

Haven't been out on the roads late at night but I know they were pulling at a checkpoint near Joyces Friday night.

Was around town tonight. Saw a good few cars pulled by the cops and 2 checkpoints.

Believe me, they've been flat out since Friday. Passed a checkpoint myself today at Jurys and know they've pulled a car right outside the parent's home in Furbo.

Around the area in general, it was particularly bad on Friday night.

It wasn't standard traffic, that much is obvious from the noise of the cars and the way they were being driven

I find it funny the way some people sit inside their home all weekend and complain about the noise and say the guards do nothing about it

When in fact there's a notable increase in Garda presence on the road in the city,

You need to get out of the house more Todders

    "notable", subjective

So your solution for people wanting some peace and quiet in their house late at night...is to get out more. That's helpful

Good to see the guards caught one at least

So people should be forced to leave the comfort of their own home because there's a bunch of inconsiderate toerags tearing around outside. Very helpful!

In fairness to the Gardai I spotted 3 traffic core Garda cars around town yesterday evening (one had someone pulled over) and passed an unmarked car with 2 boy races pulled in near the Galway Clinic this morning.
