Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Nice one.

Anything less than a win and 4th could have been a struggle. Now we have a bit of a chance

Another 6 pointer v the Saints coming up next in the league. Need another win there

    We can get 4th now.

    I think.

    Why not third.

Great game and a deserved win, Spurs played into Liverpool's hands a bit, you would think they'd have learned by now.

Do they know any other way to play.

Pool pulling away from West Ham and Swansea, favourites for 7th surely
Nah I think United have what it takes to regain 7th spot this year.

Most entertaining game of football I've seen in months. Two teams playing the game the way it's meant to be.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,994 ✭✭✭KingdomYid

Better team won, Spurs gave possession away too easily and were shocking at the back. Some fight for top four now.

Kudos to this man who's had this post clogging up his hard drive since September.

That was all down to Lallanas smooth football.

It was a lovely inside ball by Ibe to find him. A good team goal!

Pretty gracious. I didn't think there was a huge amount in it tbh. On another day Spurs could have nicked it.

Both teams are fairly evenly matched

Well that's going to backfire on you if somebody points out that Liverpool finished 7th twice in the last 5 years.
You better hope nobody points it out...

So that shows that they're only slightly more long ballish than Big Sam's West Ham.

Strange old game really. 2-1 and it's all Spurs. 2-2 they sit back and invite pressure. Always wonder why teams can't keep playing the same way.

Hopefully Rodgers picks up a few of those pamphlets from the tactical genius's press conference today, we can long ball it to Ballotelli for the rest of the season

Well, the postman finally delivers some of letters from the back of the van and spurs try to get ahead of the valentines day queues by getting all their cards at Anfield.

A good day at the office.

That was a thoroughly enjoyable game. I wouldn't have complained too much about a draw as the penalty was soft enough to cancel out the offside/no foul goal and Spurs were really controlling the game quite well at times. There were a few very good performances on both sides and a few shaky ones. Both teams looked somewhat tired at times but both looked to win the game which was great to see.

Credit to Spurs, the fight for top four looks like it's going to be extremely tight.

Not much soft about the penalty. Was a pretty clear one.

Tbh, there aren't many teams that could beat Liverpool if Ibe, Coutinho, Lucas, Sterling and Sturridge all start.

I predicted a pool win and the did.

Looking at it again, I think you're right. I remember just thinking it looked a little soft from the first angle that I saw. I remember not really caring too much at the time as I was just happy that they were given it!
