The founder of the wonderful nfl films has died at the age of 98. He and his company made a not very attractive looking game into a game loved the world over through his footage.

R.I.P Ed. It was a sad day when he lost his son Steve who supported his father all the way through the creation of NFL films. Sad to see both Father and Son now dead. They will be missed, their legacy never forgotten.

Sad news. The Sabol's probably played a bigger role in getting so many of us into the game than a lot of players. Love watching all the NFL Films productions and cant imagine what the game would look like without them

There certainly was some talent between them. Innovative, groundbreaking and ahead of their time. They set the standard in their field.

Sad news indeed and listening to American media over the past day or so you realise how important NFL Films were to the growth of the game. But is it just me or does anyone else hate watching clips with a bloody orchestra playing in the background?

No I love it, for me the music adds to the immersive experience.
