Will be up this way for the weekend, anywhere worth stopping for a bite to eat. Staying in the twelve in barna but just curious about other places?

    Thanks:)

This place is my favourite spot in Connemara
Now I'm not sure if it's renowned for food but it's definitely somewhere to stop for a Guiness, great big open fire and a nice bar. It's on the N59 past maam cross , different road from the Barna road

OGradys in Barna is really good.

I second O'Grady's. Book now for the weekend as you might not get a table!
The food in the Twelve is nice too, but O'Grady's is better. :)

And O'Dowds in Roundstone, Its just a pub but its cosy and welcoming with great food.

The golf club at the Connemara Golf club in Ballyconneely has an okay restaurant. You dont have to be a member or anything and its a beautiful setting. A bit out of the way but a nice drive to get there.

I prefer the Twelve for food - but O'Grady's is in a great location beside the sea.

But if you want to venture further afield...Ballynahinch is where I would very happily sit in front of an open fire, ramble for a bite and enjoy the amazing scenery.

BTW....the Twelve, O'Grady's and Mulberry's are within walking distance. Enjoy! Galway's a great spot!

Tigh Giblin in Spiddal is a great spot for food and has a decent pint of Guinness.

Pádraicín's in Furbo isn't too bad either!
