You'd have to put that down to Burnley getting leggy. We'll just about make them pay for not taking an advantage when they were on top.

    From 50 minutes to 65?

    Ok

Wilson on instead of a MF. RVP stays put and Falcao off. The subs all wrong again. We will do well to hold on here.

    3rd goal needed.

DiMaria's final ball has improved this game.

    peno!!!

In Cavan there was a great fire / Judge McCarthy was sent to inquire / It would be a shame / If the nuns were to blame / So it had to be caused by a wire.

Stonewall penalty. Di Maria on the break is invaluable

Ah my stream is a bit behind. Read penalty just as Burnleybwete taking a corner.
I was about to press the meltdown betting

RVP right not to celebrate that. He's had a very poor game

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,929 ✭✭✭dubmick

Expecting Southampton to score against 10 men West Ham. Hope not.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 19,889 ✭✭✭✭The Moldy Gowl

    Have they celebrated one goal?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,150 ✭✭✭✭LuckyGent88

Rooney was lucky there. He was so slow in possession.

Bad tackle on Rooney, who we inexplicably seem to be playing as a DM -_-

A bit sly of them not to let Smalling take the peno for his hat trick

What a shocking attempt at a pass from Di Maria

McNair has been one of the few decent performances tonight.

    Very comfortable second half.

    Very comfortable second half.

Very?? Was defo some hairy moments. Ings missing a gilt edged chance for one. United created almost nothing from open play.

Ings has looked a far better striker than falcao or van persie tonight.

Makes great runs, good hold up play and a decent finisher.

Up to 3rd now, good night :) Southampton are starting to wobble.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,150 ✭✭✭✭LuckyGent88

3 points and that's about the only thing we can take from that.

    Pathetic performance really.

Herrera with a couple of great through balls in this half, one leading to a penalty and one that Di Maria should have done better with. What exactly does LVG need from him to get a game? Great little player.

Big wobble with a draw against West Ham alright......

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 13,591 ✭✭✭✭Aidric

A win comparable to shifting a heifer and none of your mates finding out about it. Gotta away with it and move on.

Last minute goal against a mangerless QPR on Saturday, couldn't beat 10 men West ham tonight at home, beaten by Swansea in there last home game before tonight, knocked out at home by Crystal Palace in the FA Cup.

Definitely sounds like the start of a wobble for me.

At 2-1 up with 8 minutes plus stoppages to go, we were still nowhere near home and dry. Smalling scoring that penalty would be very far from a sure thing. The win and 3 points comes before individual player glory, nothing sly about it at all and I would have been shaking watching Smalling step up to take it.

Lovely penalty from RVP in the end.
