Windows font changed since update and reboot

I dunno what's prompted this for sure but its only since I rebooted after a routine update for my PC - the font used on certain browser pages has changed (boards is as was but google has altered for example) and its also occurred in the winamp display and notepad. Is there a way to restore the default font for windows?
