It's brilliant for confidence, fitness, self defence and it's great Craic too.

What sort of sports are you looking to get into?

Tag Rugby is getting a good following, contact Sligo Rugby Club, they should put you on to the right people http://www.sligorfc.ie/

There's plenty of GAA football clubs that you could join up and play lower division or junior football with, depends on the area, training is just kicking off for this year so you may get in at the right time, even for the social aspect.

There's also the local cycling clubs if that takes your fancy

    How about tennis?

There's loads more, but hard to help without knowing interests, age, whether you hope to compete or just for fun etc?

I suppose it really depends on what type of sport you want to do, your age etc,

Hi, I suggest you start Stand Up Paddling with the SUPForall crew. They meet on Saturday mornings at 11am at the Lake Isle of Innisfree. Anyone can do it and no you will not fall in the water! Bring a change in the car in the 'just in casey'. Its €15 and all is supplied

For all, or for women? I'd love to try this, but have too much penis for a bikini..
