Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Now lets get the business of players in and out sorted, announce the new shirt for next year and our house is in order for a title defence and hopefully push on in the fa cup and ucl too.

Quiet enough summer id say, their wont be many in or out just as long as theyre quality.

Quality over quantity this summer anyway for me.

We should sign a good cm inly if were shipping out two or three of our own and giving RLC a slot and chance to play.

Khedira might be a good option for 2 or 3 years but he'll have offers all over I feel, if he stayed injury free he'd be an upgrade over ramifes and mikel.

Anyone see Fellainis stamp? reckless was an understatement.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 53,262 ✭✭✭✭GavRedKing

So.....Falcao seems to be linked after Utd decided not to sign him.

Personally I'd stay well clear TBH, guy is crocked, like Torres, after shifting one of those type of players I cant see the club getting in another.

Hopefully with a full summer of rest Costa will play 30+ games and fire us once again to another title.

At 37? no idea, probably into coaching and if he does, hopefully he'll be back at the club in some capacity.

Excellent video on sporting life with Chelsea players reaction to the winning the League.
Courtois was translating for Costa at the end of the video. He made some interesting comments right at the end.
It actually spurred me to write this post and attach the vid. I must say, his honesty is refreshing.

Edit: when you click the link it directs you to the main video page. The Chelsea players reaction video is listed below the main window.

There s a pic of Cesc Fabregas and the title of the video is "Chelsea players react to winning the title".
There is a couple of videos on that page.

Watching MOTD and Pool were terrible, Can at RB was especially poor.

End of season results are a bit mad.

A fit walcott done very well today.

If Arsenal want Cech maybe theres some business to be done for Walcott, be a decent option in the support positions behind hazard and willian.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 53,262 ✭✭✭✭GavRedKing

Surprised oscars goal against qpr isnt up for goal of the season on MOTD. It was better than at least 3 goals.

If for some reason Remy wasn't with us and Costa was injured (and we'd signed Theo!) I'd play Theo up top.

He'd be a good option but its highly unlikely that a deal will be done.

Walcott as a sub cf/support player would be a good option but he'll want to play as many games as possible.

How much is Cech worth then? Must still be decent money even with one season left on his contract.

Id guess about 7-12m depends how many clubs start bidding for him.

Still a quality keeper with a few miles left on the clock, hopefully he'll go abroad if he can't be persuaded to stay, which doesn't look like it's going to happen. One of my lads 2 favourite footballers are Drogba and Cech so he's not a happy camper.

Two legends of the last decade for Chelsea.

Both are likely gone and it seems to be JT the only one left. We need leaders for the future when JT goes and hopefully a few step up to the mark as those days are coming sooner rather than later.

That fan has serious issues

I love Chelsea but wouldnt let it get to me that much, probablt the worse feeling as a Chelsea fan in the last 20 odd years was losing the UCL final but I wouldnt have gotten that bad about it.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 53,262 ✭✭✭✭GavRedKing

Bamfords involved in the play off final today from 3pm, wish him all the best with it.

Was upset in 1975 when we got relegated to the old second division, but I was still at school and what made that bad was the abuse from QPR fans. Gutted when we lost to Man United in the CL Final and when Munster were slaughtered in a Heino semi by Leinster but a few quick pints sorted that.

Sport should be a past time not life itself, Shanks was wrong about that.
