I know its preseason and all that for the English teams but any team I've seen from the MLS has impressed in terms of tactis of the teams and the technique and passing of the players.

Theyre in their season so theyre way ahead of teams in terms of fitness and ball work.

O no I totally understand, I've watched a few matches from this Champions Cup thingy so wasnt just commenting on Chelsea.

I hadnt watched any MLS teams before the last month and just presumed they were all hackers just been impressed although the bar wasnt high.

Entertaing game for the neutrals and as you said it shouldnt worry any fan who has a clue.

Guys, you have to understand here this is the NY Red Bulls reserve team and mostly kids. The first XI played 120 mins yesterday in the US Open Cup loss to Philly(like FA Cup), none of them were here tonight.

The reserves and youth are still playing football the last few months, our players are only back for pre-season since Tuesday or Wednesday last week :pac:

Nobody is really bothered about the result I'd imagine, if you were you'd be mad, its the manner fo the defending in the 2nd half that will annoy some, mostly Jose.

I cant imagine Begovic is too happy either letting in 4 goals in the space of 45mins :P

Ya, wasnt exactly the debut you'd want for Chelsea.

JT set the tone for the 2nd half, he made a great clearance off the line only to f**k it all up by killing Begovic with an under hit back pass.

For every good thing we'd do we gave away stupid balls and silly goals, perfect time to get it all out of the system though instead of the 1st game of the season.

It wasnt really, it was a very sloppy display from pretty much every player that lined out. We've two much tougher tests ahead of us in PSG and Barca too but thats waht pre-season is all about.

Might as well play the toughest sides, while Red Bulls werent, its still a good test to be playing a team in the middle of their season when we've only had days to prepare.

Theres no point in playing 3 pre season games against teams the standard of MK Dons or similar across the world.

WE've another 4 pre season games before it all starts properly, PSG, Barca, Arsenal and Fiorentina and yes I'm counting the Community Shield as a pre-season game, it'll be the toughest game we play before the start of the season but its still only a glorified friendly and curtain raiser, Jose will still want to win it though
