Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Is the draw on tv or is it possible to catch a live stream of it?

Happy for us, Utd very soft opener, Arsenal with a tough one and City tough enough but winnable.

Tough for City with Sevilla 3rd! Arsenal get a softer Olypiakos and Utd get the long spin out to Russia (hope they get the Kazak team last). And Kiev for us!

Yeah, 7,000 mile round trip. Hopefully we get a Friday game before it. Serious distance.

United have a very sticky group, I reckon they'll struggle. It's been a kind draw for us .

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,259 ✭✭✭HalloweenJack

    Happy enough with that group.

Israel is a big trip but way better than Kazakhstan. Porto aren't what they used to be, Kiev either.

Roughly same distance from London to Kazakhstan as London to Israel as far as I know.

It's an ok group but just the annoyance of having 6 proper games instead of 4 and 2 gimmes. Happy with ours, hopefully a few decent performances will see us through asap. Don't want some sticky Porto away as the last fixture and still needing points.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 13,563 ✭✭✭✭peteeeed

    That will do

Huh in my head I thought is was way closer... hopefully that long trek doesn't fall near a big tie for us so.

Friday games aren't in un till next year or the year after.

United had one this year down to a combination of a protest in Biringham on the Saturday and us playing in the Champions League qualifier

Ah I see. The sooner they bring it in the better. Such a simple solution to such an annoying problem for English teams. You'd swear they don't want English teams to do well.

Kenright is looking to A: appease his unhappy fans by making out Everton aren't a selling club and B: bumping the price up another few million.

Think the Stones deal will get done and Chelsea will overpay by at least 20 million. Could turn out to be great or could just be a young Gary Cahill.

    Imo.

There's not a chance Chelsea will go over £40m. I think his true value would be between £25-28m. If you look at the last few years I don't think you'll find many players Chelsea grossly overpaid for, bar maybe Cuadrado and he just didn't really fit in and we'll probably recoup the majority of his fee anyways.

I wouldn't say Cuadrado was overpaid for, at the time. He had a very good world cup only 6 months before, and was a top player in Serie A for a few years. He just wasn't cut out for Chelsea, sure look at Kevin De Bruyne, couldn't fit in at Chelsea and is now going to City for ~£50 million, and I think he'll come to haunt Chelsea yet

Tancredi Palmeiri has just tweeted that us and juventus had a meeting for pogba in Monaco, deal not closed.

This guy can be hit and miss but it's something to be excited about for the next few days!

We're all gonna need counselling if pogba doesn't move, esp Gav

CL fixtures in bold with PL matches before and after

    Everton (A), Saturday, 12.45
    Maccabi (H), Wednesday, 16/9
    Arsenal (H), Saturday, 12.45

    Newcastle (A), Saturday, 5.30
    Porto (A), Tuesday, 29/9
    Southampton (H), Saturday, 5.30

    Aston Villa (H), Saturday, 3.00
    Dynamo (A), Tuesday, 20/10
    West Ham (A), Saturday, 3.00

    Liverpool (H), Saturday, 12.45
    Dynamo (H), Wednesday, 4/11
    Stoke (A), Saturday, 5.30

    Norwich (H), Saturday, 3.00
    Maccabi (A), Tuesday, 24/11
    Spurs (A), Sunday, 12.00

    Bournemouth (H), Saturday, 3.00
    Porto (H), Wednesday, 9/12
    Leicester (A), Saturday, 3.00

The fixtures have worked out pretty nicely. Easiest game in between two tricky league games. Sunday game after the trip to Israel and an easier game before it. Ukraine in between two easier games. Porto away game will be the toughest week, I reckon.

We have the cup game too in between making 3 away games in a row also.

Was keeping an eye on draw intensely hoping to get to a game week 20/21 of Oct as I'm off disgusted to find out away in the Ukraine :(

might try and go to the Bournemouth / porto games - did a CL/premier league double last year

    Weve got an easy group.

    Utd got a handy group.

Arsenal should get out of their group.

City should also get out of their group.

The EPL really need the teams to perform as theyrr in danger of losing the 4th UCL spot.

Have there been any Stones shirt burning parties yet, they like that type of thing in that neck of the woods. Classy.

    100% we'll get Stones.

We may or may not get Pogba and Messi though.
