Soldado, 1 on 1 with the goalkeeper and tries to pass it to Chadli only passes it to the GK.

What f**k up he is. :pac:

Just on the soldado pic, even Torres managed to round Valdes or even pass it around Mignolet.

    Soldado though :pac:

So that's an extra £22m a year in shirt sponsorship.

That is one £60m player on 200k a week amortised over a 5 year contract.

I wonder who we could sign :pac:

    Interesting note in the BBC article on the sponsorship deal;

"The West London club are now one of the world's most recognised sporting brands with an estimated 500m fans and were the most watched English side worldwide last season with 31,000 broadcast hours."

Good to see the support and worldwide interest go from strength to strength.

    Jose was right.

Yet while City are awarded a penalty every 3.7 games, such an opportunity for Chelsea comes around once every 13. Maybe Mourinho is aware of this anomaly and it is fuelling his belief that there is a campaign against his team

Drogba, 10 games played at Wembley, 8 goals, 2 losses.

Its sensational writing designed to stir.

He was banned for the 3 league games after Swansea and returned against Burnley.

Win on Sunday and we go into joint 2nd with the most League Cup wins.

We're currently in joint 3rd on 4 wins with Utd, Spurs, Forest.

Villa have 5 and Pool have 8.

    What time is kick off.

Blog on the final and how we might line up in CM.

Plenty of nods to Ake but also to a Cesc/Ramires pivot with Cesc being a playmaker and allow Ramires to go box to box as per usual.

4pm, clashes with the rugger which I have no interest in but because it does, chances of making it to a pub and getting a) a seat and b) a tv with sound is very unlikely. :(

Lucas Moura is out for a few weeks, will miss the return leg at the Bridge.

    Good news.

    press conf

Jose says for the first time since his return in 2013 he is thinking about the moment and not the future of the club.

we have always taken the League Cup very seriously and it is a big competition

he wants to make Wembley somewhere normal for his current group of players where we can go year after year

'Salah went there to play, he's playing, he's getting his time on the pitch. That's what we care about.

the fact it is a London derby on Sunday does not add anything to the game. A final is a final, he stresses

Mikel is the only injury problem ahead of the game.

he doesn't see connections or consequences between winning this cup and winning the league.

It is a final we have to play and a final we have to win

I agree with Jose on the final, doesnt matter if we're playing Spurs or Accrington Stanley we have to win, its a final.

Courtois has spoke a good bit prior to this final about Kane and his finishing, I'm assuming hes starting.

    He also said this.
‘In the game against Burnley the wrong player was sent off, it’s a pity Matic cannot play in the final but we will do everything possible to win it for him, the club and the supporters.’

Will have to phone the local about their plans for showing the match. They usually have a tellie designated for different sports, one for football one for rugby etc. Otherwise it'll be a sports bar in town.

Its going to be Rugby on nearly all TVs until its over and at that stage it'll be nearly half time in our game.

I dont liek Rugby so I'm not going out to watch it as everry decent bar will have that on with the cup final in the corner with no sound.

Going to be watching the rugby - can't get out of that so I'll be avoiding anything with an internet connection so I can watch the final at home on my own after.

Too many reasons, chief among is the competitiveness of it at the top level or lack there of.

When you get a massive round of applause for kicking it out of play I know Rugby (Union that is), is not for me. When restarting a game can take getting on for 5 minutes and still not be successful, it's not for me. When swing low etc (ffs, what a stupid song) is the song my country's yawnion fans sing for their team I know it's not for me.

Usually very proud to support my country in any sport, but couldn't give a flyer who wins this particular game.

    Think that covers it.
