Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Well it does really. Chelsea will still be 3pts ahead of city than they would be.

I was confident of at least a draw by the pool. So was expecting a 4pt lead. To still have the 5pt lead is a dream scenario though.

Few players rested. They wanted it more. City didn't like the constant pressure.

City folded in cm. They need an upgrade on fernando/inho alongside toure and the 442 is an ancient formation unless youve two proper wingers that will go up and down. Pelligrini rarely alter the formation and sometimes against better sides they get picked off

Cahill in the Matic role? Would have had Cuadrado ahead of Willian.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 53,262 ✭✭✭✭GavRedKing

Itll be cahill or zouma at the base of a 3 man cm id say.

Delighted, Had my doubts before the game but this team has that winners mentality. First of many! Delighted for Costa, what a warrior!

Was also scared before this game, big win for us though.

Interestingly, Didier referred to us having lost a little confidence in recent weeks in his post-match interview with Sky

Congratulations to the Chelsea lads. As I've seen said elsewhere online, Chelsea likely won 2 trophies today with City's loss at Anfield, but sure you boys probably got over winning the league at least a month ago by now!

Big win. City losing is as big as this trophy though as weve a 5pt cushion and a game in hand in April that could be pivotal.

Or goal difference is better off too.

Pool were well worth their win and if if was spurs and utd id be scared of that from pool they out played city and look good value for top 4 now at those teams expense

  • Registered Users Posts: 9,405 ✭✭✭Lukker-

    Fair play Pool.

Hope they get top 4 at United's expense.

I didn't see the game today. Aside from Costa's goal, how did he play (overall)? I just saw the goals in highlights on sports news.
    Reports look good.

Yeah it's quite impressive how Liverpool have come on since before Christmas and they're in with a great shout for Top 4 now, scary from the point of view of myself as a United fan.

There's still a fair few points to be won or lost, but at least Chelsea have that cushion now where they can afford to drop a silly point or 2. I know you won't want to count your chickens before they hatch and all that, but the title should be a formality now.

Weve a huge game on Wednesday so hopefully 3 pts there.

West ham were excellent away to spurs and terrible against palace so its hard to tell which will turn up.

Ivanovic, Terry, Zouma, Cahill, Azpilicueta in 2014/15:

    16 goals.

Mustn't forget ireland beating ingurland in the rugby. That would be a treble : )
Understand we're not all rugby fans, but any sport that mention ireland and the World Cup I'm on, I'm even supporting the cricket FFS.

Played very very well. Classic old English striker performance from him. Was physical, won knockdowns. Lead the line well, drove at Spurs, brought others into play and the run for the goal was excellent.

He really is the perfect striker for Jose's system.

Yup had to make do with the game on the laptop till the Rugby was over. Great stuff as I really felt it could have been an England and Spurs win!

City lost, Burnley lost too, a great weekend.

Sure, but rugby not my thing ... I tried to get into it and just can't ...
Nice to see Ireland do well tho...
